Recovering from the bailout, year one of political communications

The above map indicates over 55,000 projects that have been funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. One year later both the Democrats and the Republicans have come out with multiple messages to reinforce their direct opposite sides.

The White House states

One year in, the evidence is clear – and growing by the day – that the Recovery Act is working to cushion the greatest economic crisis since the Great Depression and lay a new foundation for economic growth.

The Republicans state

Over a year ago, the American people placed an enormous amount of trust in President Obama to make good on his promises of renewed responsibility and a new era of political bipartisanship. However, when faced with an extreme economic downturn he used the crisis as a means to his liberal ends and with the help of his Congressional allies forced his failed $862 billion stimulus package on America.

On a recent video Organizing for America explains that "We still have a long way to go, but one year after President Obama signed the Recovery Act into law, it's clear that we are now on the road to recovery."

The Democratic Rapid Response YouTube Channel came out with a video that presents the GOP Recovery Act Hypocrites, very interesting facts and definitely a future campaign talking point

In a new video from the GOP, the Republicans explain that the recovery act was another "Broken Promise"

The conclusions are yours to make. My take on the issue is that althought the Recovery Act has not shown any significant tangible results, with loosing jobs every month, and high unemployment figures across the U.S.; the final outcome remains to be seen. The only certain thing, is that both political parties have a lot to gain or loose, from the success of this economic intervention.
